Looking to make the most of summer months on Maui—when the north shore is flat—Gerry Lopez was one of the early pioneers to begin prone paddling the Maliko Run. Extending from Maliko Gulch to Kahului Harbor, the run offered the perfect playing field to ride open ocean swells and get exercise at the same time.
Paying tribute to the early days of surfing, Naish has teamed up with Gerry Lopez to create yet another means of enjoying the ocean and staying fit.
Built for speed, the displacement hull features a flat mid-section, which makes it especially suitable for open-ocean paddling. Its non-abrasive kneepad maximizes comfort and allows for quick transitions from chest to knee, while the optimized deck shape facilitates both prone and knee paddling.
